Description
CEIA NetID Anywhere Walk-Through Metal Detector Network Management System
The CEIA MDNA (Metal Detector Network Appliance) is a synchronization and management system that links CEIA walk-through metal detectors into a single coordinated network. Designed for the SMD601 Plus profiling/loss-prevention environment, the MDNA connects up to 50 detectors over Ethernet using encrypted communication.
Its central capability is shared user profiling. Each user’s personal metal signature—accounting for non-removable items such as medical implants, dental work, and jewelry—is captured once during a single global enrollment and distributed across every detector on the network. This means an individual can transit through any networked SMD601 Plus without re-enrolling, while the system maintains a redundant backup copy of all user profiles for reliability. Because profiles are shared network-wide, people can enter through one detector and exit through another, eliminating bottlenecks at shift changes and streamlining high-traffic loss-prevention checkpoints.
The MDNA is the backbone for any multi-detector CEIA deployment where consistent detection, centralized management, and seamless user flow across multiple entry and exit points are required.
